Setting up a local supply chain in the Midwest for a renowned packaging OEM

Supported the US branch of a Dutch-based OEM with setting up a local supply chain around their factory in Indiana to accomplish their growth ambitions in the US.

To set up the supply chain, the company was looking for someone with experience in developing and managing an international supply chain. After clearly defining their need, I conducted high-level research into the landscape of OEM suppliers in the US, focused specifically on the Midwest region. Having researched over 300 suppliers, I presented a robust report containing a list of potentially interesting suppliers that matched the customer’s needs and criteria. After visiting and auditing these suppliers, successful benchmark and pilot projects were carried out, resulting in a shortlist of suppliers that met the requirements. My final assessment and results were shared with the team, transferring the knowledge so they could make the final agreements for structural cooperation with the selected suppliers.
